a smart Sourcing Manager TeCo Asia
TeCo Asia is the sourcing organization of Nedis BV, a leading wholesaler established for over 37 years offering a wide range of consumer electronic products to the European market. Our office in Shenzhen is looking for a Sourcing Manager to expand and optimize our Smart Home Assortment, Products and the Nedis SmartLife brand.
Major responsibilities will be:
Product Management
- Actively involved in product sourcing according to the requirements of the European standard;
- Answer inquiries, and execute projects which are delegated by the product management team;
- Support the whole process of New Product Introductions - from inquiries until shipment is released;
- Gather market intelligence and trends, and proactively introduce new products to the group product management team in order to create more and new business opportunities;
- Guarantee the needed quality standards are met and assure product compliance in accordance to European regulations;
- Regular review on pricing of core products to ensure Nedis® has the best market prices.
Supplier Management
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, recommend sourcing decisions to the product management team, and manage the overall supplier qualification process;
- Actively negotiate with suppliers in order to improve price, compliance, quality, MOQ, MOA, and lead time;
- Maintain good relationship with suppliers and build up strategic partnership with key suppliers;
- Work closely with other team members within the company to continuously monitor the supplier performance.
Requirements
- University graduate in electronic or electrical engineering, industrial design, computer engineering or similar subjects;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product sourcing or related activities;
- Knowledge on Smart home products (Lighting / energy saving / security, sensors …), small home appliance, security (IP camera, sensor & detector), power and energy category products;
- Familiar with compliance requirements for the European market;
- Ability to work independently and willing to take initiatives;
- Proficient in spoken and written English, and good communication skill;
- Quick-learner, good business attire;
- Strong team player.
